Motorbike Madness

Sunday, May 25th, 2008

Cale and Kai have been tearing it up on their motorbikes around the house so I finally told Bazza to make them a track in the front paddock. They have another small track in the bottom paddock, but that is more for day tripping, so now they can jump on at any day almost anytime and go hard.

The track – alittle hard to see but Bazza has add a couple of little jumps to keep them amused.

Kai on his Honda with training wheels. This kid has no fear, getting airborne more often then I like, but he does learn quickly about going too hard and can slow down after being very sketchy!

The boys tearing it up together. Cale helps Kai when he gets stuck and really looks out for him and vice versa, which is great to watch them together doing something the are beginning to love.

This is the small tabletop Baz is building, I think Cale cleared the down ramp completely on about the second day, so out with the shovel and tractor!

Last weekend we had a few guys and girls come out and use the small track in the bottom paddock, Dan bought his Pit Bike and we had the quad, CRF50 and Kai’s honda, so just about everyone had something going at one time or another….. Baz & Dan had a great time on the CRF50, with a few stacks through out the day which was great entertainment.
Baz gave Cale the option of riding the pit bike, so whilst I held my breath Baz balanced him and off he went!!……

I was scared but he rode again without any worries and had total control.

On Holiday

Thursday, May 15th, 2008

Well it’s been awhile but we had the best April Holiday!
Two weeks in SA travelling around catching up with those that we could!

Thanks to Neil, Robyn, Steph, Mitchell and Lilly for a great couple of nights up the Shack at the River, Teal flat is still very beautiful even if the water level is dropping rapidly! Never a dull moment as usual including Molly the dog hooking herself on a fishing line, me almost cutting the top of my finger off and Steph taking the boys for a drive in the Cruizer that they will never forget LOL ;-)

A quick stop over in Adelaide to catch up with Mike & Jess and then off to Brad & Liz’s to start our Dellow/Winter/Harris family west coast trip.
Sheringa was AWESOME – the weather was fine, the kids played on the beach, we ate fish everynight and the men got to bond, making toasties by the fire, fishing in the little dinghy and late boozy nights with a early morning Salmon fishing trek and us ladies laughing so hard & relaxing (I think that’s what they called it!! LOL). Also special thanks to Tori who was a great help to all!

By Friday the Winter’s & Harris’s had to go home and the McGack’s turned up for a few days – Baz and I took off to Port Lincoln for Kate & Chad’s beautiful Wedding and it was great to catch up with all the Roxbyights.

Our trip was then to head to Great Nana’s in Renmark and spend a few days being pampered and fed, then to head back to Stawell for Unkle Mark’s Visit as he had a down hill mountain bike contest in Ararat over the Anzac long weekend.

We travelled aprrox 3100kms! I think it took me until last Monday to finally feel like I slowed down and we are now busy organising for the new baby to arrive! Only 7.5 wks now!
The fire has been on ever since we got home and this weekend we are setting up the big fireplace and the weekend forecast is for cold! Our paddocks are green, the days are warm in the middle and life is good xx
