What’s been happening??

Saturday, July 5th, 2008

Well I thought I would just update you on what’s been happening…..

Me…. I am still holding onto our new child on the inside, due anyday now so will let you all know! During the day I am the busy at home mum, feeding the chooks, stoking the fire, watching the boys play and watching the mountains change from my front window. I have taken up a bit of baking, trying to master the skill as we have so many fresh eggs and time on my hands. Mostly when the boys are out in the shed I whip up something yummy…

Bazza has been working in the Maintenance Planner role after filling in whilst they found a replacement (3 mths now), he has been able to change his roster to working 4 12hr days and then having Fri, Sat, Sun off which has been great as the boys love spending time with him out and about.
On his days off Bazza is up with the kids cooking boiled or poached eggs for breaky and then fixing fences, talking to the cows, chopping fire wood, 4wdriving or fixing other people’s 4wd’s or working on the new bike trailer he is putting together.
We are now members of the Horsham Motocross Club after the purchase of Bazza’s 08 CRF450X.
It’s a very nice club and huge track, not a bit of red dirt in site either LOL…..Many of the kids there are riding all over Australia and Cale just can’t wait to get out there and give it ago.

Cale has kinda two full days a week in Stawell, which he loves and swimming one afternoon so that keep’s him busy. Other things he loves to do are going to the skate park on his scooter and he went to Gymnastic’s the other day with a friend from kinda, so always something new to try…… He will be turning 5 in August, but doesn’t start school until next year, he’s excited about that too as he will catch the bus on day’s I don’t go to town!!

Kai loves just being at home and having the TV to himself, he is a real chatterbox too so we are always talking about him or the world as he see’s it. He is very different to Cale, very myway or the highway and loves a routine. We spend some days at the park and he also loves going to the indoor pool whilst Cale is swimming. He will also start 3yr old kinda 1 half a day next year and that should be good for him to have his own time.

All the animals are happy about the green paddocks now that we have had some rain. Ruby n Daisy the cows are sporting great winter hair do’s and we have our 19 sheep back from the neighbours paddocks so I feel like the whole family is home again.
The 13 chooks lay a dozen eggs a day and I have been taking a new approach to our cheeky Rooster who loves to attack the boys and I, by chasing him for a few minutes each day, trust me if he wasn’t such a great looking bird he would be roast by now!!
Dozer made a full recovery from his accident earlier in the year and is now busy chasing the sheep and cows and stays away from the cars!
We hope to get a goat or pig or have the cows AI to have calves, but will maybe wait for next year, the more the merrier though when you’ve got 20 acres I guess!

So I think I have updated enough and from here we are staying put until the new baby arrives.
I will update you all when it all goes down…

xx Rosalie
